Great Domaines

We were brought on board to create a new visual identity for Great Domaines that would bring it into the modern era, while still exuding class and elegance to best represent the domaines they import and distribute.

Concept

The concept behind the new Visual Identity was to merge the timeless class of the established monogram present within the luxury goods market and the crest used to represent many of the domaines imported by Great Domaines, particularly from Burgundy.

The Illustration

Using a blend of traditional and digital media, our artists created a landscape inspired by the golden slopes or “Côte d’Or” synonymous with the region of Burgundy, France. We took elements from the region’s most notable estate, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti to give the landscape a sense of place while still being a culmination of the other elements a Burgundy lover would appreciate. The artwork was created in the newly chosen Royal Blue colour we had hand-picked for the identity.

We also created various supplementary artworks in the same style that could be used throughout the Burgundy Document and in the announcement of the company’s rebrand.
