Situated beside Vice Coffee and Elixirs, Under Bar borrows from its sister next door, not in aesthetic, but in ambition. Where Vice reaches back to the desert sands of Nasca, Under Bar turns to the the Aztec world, filtering it through the refined geometry and opulence of Art Deco.

Ceiling Lintels
We designed bespoke overlays for the ceiling lintels running throughout the space, each crafted to be illuminated from within. When lit, the panels cast the deep, luminous tones of jade and lapis lazuli across the interior with a wash of colour that shifts the atmosphere of the room and roots the space firmly in its Aztec reference points.
Stacking Doors
The set of glass stacking doors at the entrance presented a quiet problem: when closed, they disappear. Our solution became one of the most considered details in the space. Across all six panels, we created a continuous Aztec landscape. A scene that reads as a single panorama when the doors are shut, and transforms into a layered, three-dimensional tableau as they are opened and stacked.
Inverroche Collaboration Concept
For a collaboration between Under Bar and Inverroche gin, we created something that honoured both brands without repressing either. Our response was a living wall artwork in which the Inverroche logo becomes a structural vessel which holds and frames the raw botanicals at the heart of their gin-making process.
